Thank you for installing Gaaiho Reader. This user guide aims to introduce the features and interface design of Gaaiho Reader in order to make users better understand how to use this software.

Gaaiho Reader, besides viewing PDF files, supports filling in forms, saving file,viewing signature and bookmark. Limited reviewing capability is also provided.

Page Layout:


Reader button:

Click Reader icon to show drop-down menu (shown below), which includes the following options:Open, close, save, save as, e-mail, print, recent files, DMS management, preference, exit and help.


Mode button:

As shown below, it has "review mode" and "read mode," offering two viewing environments.



As shown below, Gaaiho Reader toolbar has the following tools.

Open:Open file.

Save:Save file.

Print:Print file.

E-mail:Send file.

Hand Tool:Drag when viewing document.

Select Tool:Select text, image or other items.

Select Area:Select and copy word, image or the two combined.

Undo:Undo what is done.

Repeat:Restore the undone action.

Highlight:Highlight the selected text.

Cross-out:Cross-out the text.

Underline:Underline the text.

Note:Add note to anywhere on the page. Note can also be restored.

Add bookmark:Add bookmark with ease.

Zoom In:To enlarge a selected portion of a graphical image or document to fill a window or the screen.

Zoom out:To adjust the perspective of an image or document in order to view a larger area on the screen at one time, as if viewed from farther away.

Dynamic Zoom:Click and hold and drag upwards to enlarge, drag downwards to narrow.

Magnifier:Use a magnifier to view.

Find:A useful tool to do text search on the current document. It helps the user to quickly locate the information needed.

Search:A tool more advanced than "find". It can not only search for content in current document, but also in specified locations, web materials or index documents.

Check Spelling:Check for incorrect spelling in text, note and form.

Edit Dictionary:Add or delete certain terms via customizing dictionary.


Navigation Bar:

As shown below, the navigation bar includes bookmark, thumbnail, destination, model tree, field, signature and layer.

Bookmarks:View or add bookmark. Click a bookmark to refer to its corresponding location.

Thumbnails:A miniature version of a page used for quick browsing through multiple pages.

Destinations:The endpoint the text link leads to in PDF documents.

Model Tree:View model tree.

Fields:View form field, signature field. It can also highlight form field.

Signatures:View information related to signature.

Layers:View layer(s) in the file.


Comment and Attachment:

As shown below,

Attachment:Click this button to show attachment panel, in which all attachments are listed for viewing.

Comment:Click this button to show comment panel, which includes all comments of the current document.You may expand each comment to see its author, type, time created and status, such as:review and migration status.


The View Bar:

As shown below, from left to right, rotate view clockwise, rotate view counter-clockwise, previous view, next view, page layout, page controls, Fit page, fit width and scroll pages continuously, zoom controls and full screen buttons.


Edit Layout Button:

Located below the navigation bar on the left, "Edit Layout" button enable you to customize the navigation bar.But when Gaaiho Reader is restarted, it will resume "Classic" mode.

Classic:Click the tab to switch panel.

Title:Display panel only when the cursor is over the tab.

Panel:Only panel will be displayed.

Hide:Auto-hide tab and panel. Click the green arrow to show tab and panel.


Notification Button:

Gaaiho Reader will tell if the file contains form field(s).Meanwhile, a bubble will appear from the notification button located in the lower right corner and show highlight form options.


Document Window:

It is the main window of viewing document.


Read Mode:

Read Mode provides the best PDF viewing experience. It hides related toolbar and navigation bar to make viewing as complete as possible.If you want to open toolbar under Read Mode, click the arrow on top or on the left to launch toolbar, and then click the function you need. Toolbar will hide automatically after the cursor moves out.
